Dr. Dre Associate Fears Suge Knockout Could Start a War

A day after pictures of a bloodied and unconcious Suge Knight flooded the Web, some fear the former Death Row exec may have retaliation in mind. Bruce Williams, author of "Rollin' With Dre" - a book about Knight's former Death Row partner, Dr. Dre - doesn't have much faith that Knight will simply turn the other cheek.

"Although it goes against my gut feeling of how he’ll handle this situation<--more-->, I hope and pray that Suge doesn't do anything stupid and lets this thing go," Williams said in a statement.

“Suge Knight has long been someone who has no problems using violence to handle business," Williams continued. "I’ve seen what he’s capable of first-hand and wrote in detail about some of these instances in my book, 'Rollin' With Dre.' It’s unfortunate that this incident has occurred because it is likely that more people will want to test Suge to make a name for themselves, which in turn means more violence.

"Although I’m sure there are countless people who are relieved to see something like this happen to Suge, all it means to me is retaliation is almost certain. The fact that Suge did not bother to press charges against his assailant makes me certain of it."

Meanwhile, a man who claims to have delivered the knockout punch has emerged and is talking to the press. Though he refused to give his name, the man is pictured on Internet news and gossip rag, TMZ.com. According to the site, he is an L.A. barbershop owner who says he was playfully arguing about money with a mutual friend when Suge misunderstood and thought it was serious. The playful argument then escalated to a fist fight that left the 5'10", 173 lb barber standing, while the 6'3", 315 lb Knight was knocked out on the ground.
