Rap vet turned movie star Ice Cube has announced dates for an international tour to kick off this week in Germany. The tour, which is meant to support the rapper’s upcoming album Raw Footage, will begin in Leipzig on July 11, according to AllHipHop.
Raw Footage is Ice Cube’s seventh album in a solo career that followed illustrious beginnings as a member of iconic rap group N.W.A.
The west coast native spoke to MTV about his latest musical offerings, including the single from the upcoming album, "Do Ya Thang."
"It's one of those summer songs about doing your thing, not worrying about who's looking at it. It's about being yourself and doing you," he said during an interview while shooting the video for the track.
"I wanted to finally do a video and not worry about censoring myself or not taking things out that some censors don't like," he continued.
Raw Footage, which is scheduled for release August 19, reportedly features a number of artist cameos, including contributions from Musiq Soulchild, Young
Jeezy, and The Game. The album has production from Maestro, Emile, and DJ Crazy
Toones.
