Lil Wayne Says Barack Obama Signals the End of the World
Posted May 14, 2008
After spending time on his tourbus doing some reading, rapper Lil Wayne has decided that the end of the world is a mere four years away. Wayne was reportedly studying up on the ancient Mayan civilization and the prophecies of the long-gone society.
"The world is about to end in 2012… ’cause the Mayans made calendars, and they stop at 2012," he tells Blender magazine. "I got encyclopedias on the bus."
Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., went on to name signs of the world's demise, including the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.
"The world is about to end as we know it. You can see it already. A planet doesn’t exist - there’s no more Pluto. Planes are flying into buildings - and not just the Twin Towers. Mosquitos bite you and you die. And a black man and a woman are running for president."
Remaining dates on Lil Wayne's tour are as follows:
May
30 - Providence, RI - Dunkin' Donuts Center
June
3 - Houston, TX - Arena Theatre
7 - Bridgeport, CT - Arena at Harbor Yard
8 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
10 - Baltimore, MD - 1st Mariner Arena
27 - Layfayette, LA - Layfayette Cajundome
28 - Sunrise, FL - BankAtlantic Center
